Once again we've been humbled.
We met with Jennifer from The Adoption Centre on Tuesday for a very informal few hours. This is the first time we've met with anyone face to face from the Centre, and it was nice to put a face to the name. We chatted about all things adoption, from how their domestic placements work to our experiences with Heidi's adoption, openness with birth families, costs related to adoption, and everything in between. It was great just to sit and chat!
And of course, we asked where we were in the process and how much longer it would take for us to get active, and what we needed to do yet as far as paperwork was concerned. Jennifer said all that was needed to do was that she had to go back to Kelowna, double check our homestudy, make sure all the appropriate papers were gathered, and we'd be on the active list!
Yesterday we received an email from Jennifer saying...
This letter is to confirm that your profile has been activated in our domestic program to be viewed by birthparents!
Exciting! We're humbled and blessed again. This journey the last few months hasn't been easy... many challenges and frustrations. But God has carried us through again and we leave it all in His hands.
May He grant us much patience as we begin 'the wait' once again.
